I am delighted to be able to share my knowledge and love of ballet with the Diverse students and be a part of their broad and rounded dance education.

Head of Ballet

Lara Cadenhouse-Beaty began dancing aged 3 at her local ballet school in Surrey, UK. Under the guidance of Gillian Dawson she won both the Cecchetti Mabel Ryan Award and the Cecchetti choreographic awards twice. Lara successfully auditioned for the Royal ballet School Junior Associates scheme aged 8 and then went on to be offered a full time place at White Lodge aged 11. She graduated from The Royal Ballet School as Head Girl and over those 8 years performed frequently at The Royal Opera House Covent Garden in ballets such as The Nutcracker, Swan Lake & Still Life at the Penguin Café whilst having roles created for her in Matthew Hart’s “Simple Symphony” & Christopher Wheeldon’s “Schubertiade”.

Lara then moved to Manchester to continue her training and at age 17 was selected to represent Great Britain at the Grand Prix Eurovision Pour Jeunes Danseuses. Lara danced soloist roles in the Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia & Giselle at Theater Lüneburg in Germany. She then went on to be 1st cast Meg Giry in four productions of The Phantom of the Opera across Europe and danced five different roles including “Victoria” the whitecat and “Rumpleteaser” in the two and a half year long production of Cats in Germany and Switzerland. Lara received her Professional Dancers Teaching Diploma from the Royal Academy of Dance in 2006 and moved to Dubai in 2008.

She has since been offering classes in RAD ballet, repertoire, pointe work and coaching as well as preparing students for vocational auditions. Lara is delighted to have been working with the talented team and students at Diverse Choreography since September 2018.
