Cherize Cloete
Ballet Teacher
Cherize Cloete is a passionate and empathetic dance educator whose journey began at the age of nine, when a single ballet class transformed her from a quiet, reserved child into a confident and expressive young artist. From that moment on, dance became not just a discipline, but a deeply personal language through which she could connect, communicate, and create.
Originally from South Africa, Cherize’s upbringing was marked by frequent relocations across the country—each one offering a new opportunity to train under a variety of teachers and immerse herself in different dance styles. Her experience spans RAD and Cecchetti Ballet, Afrofusion, Jazz, Commercial, Horton and Graham-based Contemporary, and more. These diverse influences have shaped her dynamic teaching and choreographic style, rooted in both technical precision and authentic expression.
While she has performed and competed on many stages throughout South Africa, Cherize’s heart has always been in the studio—teaching, guiding, and choreographing. She holds the RAD Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS), is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), and has earned a Diploma in Nutrition for Dancers and Athletes.
With over a decade of experience teaching students from Ages 3 to Advanced levels, Cherize is known for her attention to detail, uplifting energy, and heartfelt approach to teaching. She creates a warm, empowering environment where every dancer feels seen, supported, and encouraged to reach their potential.
